The main goal of the home design is to be build as many open spaces in the home’s exterior as well as interior living space. Located in South-Western Australia, the home is gifted with the beautiful Australian temperate forest at its backside. Floor to ceiling windows and large outdoor patios are built for the purpose of bringing an interior and exterior connection to the home design. Of course, with such a beautiful aerial landscape of a vast forest, nothing can be wasted. The single storey home combines natural and modern materials to create a warm interior color. Modern furniture is also used to adorn the home interior.
A central courtyard is built in the center of this home to divide the two wings from one another. Each of these wings are able to house one family and each are provided with the luxury of a natural landscape viewing. Natural materials are used to integrate this home plans with the natural landscape outside. To correspond with the green bushes and trees, wood and stone materials make up the majority of the exterior.
Some modern material application, such as metal frames and floor to ceiling windows provide an indoor and outdoor connection all around the home. The floor to ceiling windows also allow for soft natural ventilation during the daytime. To accentuate the level of brightness while still maintaining a shady spot, a white canopy is built all around the house, especially in the areas of the patios.
The interior of the home is built also with the same materials. Wood, yellow stone, glass, metal, and white ceiling and walls creates the impression of brightness, lightness, and breathiness. It also opens up space further in the open floor planned areas. Though with a design of a rural home, the interior of the family home plans is decorated by modern furniture that are versatile yet contemporary in nature.
